  • Emily Kucukalic

    Founder & Managing Director

    Emily Kucukalic is a marketing and branding specialist with extensive experience across a range of industries, products and services.  She is the Managing Director of the Brand New You Group, which she founded in 2009.

    For more than six years, Emily has built a reputation as an entertaining and insightful speaker on Personal Branding, building personal presence and leadership development. She is now in demand Australia-wide and regularly gives seminars for a number of Asia’s leading companies including The Westpac Group, Hewlett Packard, BP, Johnson and Johnson and The University of Sydney.

    Prior to founding BNY, Emily was the Group Head of Brand and External Relations at AGL Energy and a member of the Executive Team.  She has worked across Asia Pacific for Fortune 500 companies including EDS and BP.   Emily is an Ernst and Young Entrepreneurship Prize winner, was a finalist in the Telstra Young Business Woman awards in 2000 and a winner of the Lucent Technologies Leadership awards in 2000,2001 and 2002.

    Emily holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Marketing from the University of Western Australia. She is currently a member of the NSW Premier’s Register for Boards and Committees and is a founding Director of Conversely, a not for profit organisation focused on engaging non working women in Australia.

  • Terri Reeves

    Partner - Corporate Marketing Strategy & Consulting

    Terri is the one we all rely on to bring Emily into line. Having worked together for more than a decade Terri joined BNY in 2012, just to sort her out.

    Emily and Terri share an extensive history of working together and have an innate understanding of how they each operate.  Her role at BNY is to develop and implement a wide range of marketing and branding strategy for our corporate clients.  Terri has deep expertise in both traditional marketing and social media campaigns.

    Prior to joining BNY, Terri held the position of Head of Corporate Marketing at AGL Energy where she developed and launched the Corporate Brand, successfully communicating the future vision of the company, while keeping to its historic values. 
Terri was also responsible for developing the Strategic Marketing plan for the corporate business, integrating complex businesses such as Upstream Gas and Merchant Energy.

    Terri has also worked with  EDS and American Express. She has a wide range of experience in branding, social media, external relations and PR, both in the UK and Australia.

  • Kathryn Carroll

    Partner - Personal Branding & Marketing

    Driven, determined and focused  – Kathryn Carroll has spearheaded BNY’s unique education programmes with some of Australia and New Zealand’s best schools and universities.  She works across other industries including our pharmaceutical, banking and professional services firms.
    Kathryn Carroll has more than 15 years experience in marketing communications, brand strategy, advertising and media planning.
    Kathryn has worked for some of the world’s largest content publishers and media groups – including Conde Nast Publications, Bauer in Australia and Hearst Publishing in New York.
    Whilst living in New York, Kathryn was Director of Marketing for Harper’s Bazaar. In this role, Kathryn was responsible for developing brand strategy, research programs, sales and new business development.
    Kathryn’s television experience includes being part of the original executive team that launched advertising programs for FOXTEL. She worked closely with agencies and clients to implement innovative media strategies across a range of television channels.
    Kathryn also spent some time living in Boston, USA and was part of a start up team for a youth marketing agency – Youth Media and Marketing Networks. As the Vice President of Marketing, Kathryn oversaw media programs for a range of clients  and generated more than $15 million in revenue in its first year.
    Kathryn has a Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing from the University of New South Wales.  She also holds a French Language Diploma from the Unversite d’Aix- Marseilles.

  • Suzi Dougherty

    Head of Presence

    The crazy, bubbly and engaging Suzi joined Brand New You in 2009.  She is an established Australian actor and a founding member of the Bell Shakespeare Company.

    Working alongside Managing Director, Emily Kucukalic, Suzi has developed a specific programme for corporate presence training adapting the skills and techniques learnt and used in her profession.  This unique programme combines marketing and sales knowledge, board level engagement experience with classical acting techniques.  Suzi’s results range from students gaining entrance to prestigious universities and graduate programmes through to successfully preparing senior executives for key board presentations.  She focuses on body language, vocal techniques and role-playing.  Each session is created specifically for the individual client in order to build and perfect their personal brand. In addition to working with individuals, BNY has developed programmes for school-aged and graduate students on presence and preparation for the workforce.

    Suzi has worked with leading Australian theatres including The Sydney Theatre Company and The Melbourne Theatre Company.  She currently has a recurring role in Channel 7’s “Home and Away”.  Her film credits include “The Loved Ones”, “The Year My Voice Broke” and “Love and Other Catastrophes”.

    Suzi graduated from the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and has extensive experience in teaching communications and presentation skills.

    Suzi has her own unique personal brand and she brings expertise, insight and high energy to the team at BNY.

  • Jo Martin

    Partner - Personal Branding & Communications

    Everyone likes Jo Martin who joined BNY in 2009 bringing with her over 15 years experience in PR, marketing and journalism.  Jo works across all of BNY’s clients providing personal branding services and consulting and often delivering seminars.

    She has worked in London, Auckland and Sydney. Jo was responsible for launching several French luxury brands into the British marketplace including Longchamp, Anne Fontaine and La Maison de Chocolat; managing the launch activity and on-going marketing and public relations campaigns.  In addition Jo has experience in public relations in both the technology and banking industries in London and New Zealand with clients including SAP, Foundry Networks and Westpac Banking Group.

    In New Zealand Jo worked as a consultant to NZ Fashion Week, managing major sponsor relations, international media and VIPs and domestic broadcast media.  Jo worked as a print and broadcast journalist, as a documentary researcher and production manager for New Zealand’s leading television production company, Touchdown Productions.

    Jo has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Political Studies, Honours in Journalism and Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Communications.

  • Kylie Laudams

    Head of Design Services

    Nothing is ever too hard for our Head of Design Services, Kylie. She joined Brand New You in 2012 and heads up all of our creative design. Kylie is our very own, gifted and talented artist and designer.

    She commenced her career at Davids Holdings (now Metcash), as an artist and then team leader. Following her time with Davids, she moved to Adcorp where she worked for ten years as a graphic designer and, ultimately, as brand guardian for their largest client, Colliers Real Estate.

    Kylie has worked across brand development and design, press advertising, signage, brochures, newsletters, magazines, research and tender documents.

  • Ryan Furtner

    Web Designer / Developer

    The easygoing web dude – Ryan has been working with BNY since its inception.  A talented web designer and developer, he provides these services to all of BNY’s business clients.  Furtner specialises in creating simple, custom designs that support our clients’ brands.  In turn, he implements content management systems enabling a seamless handover of content management.

    Ryan continues to support, maintain and optimise sites once built.
